What is it?

Flaner 0.1% Eye Drops Used in the eye Active substance: Each vial contains 0.3 mg diclofenac sodium. Excipients: Macrogol glycerol ricinoleate, boric acid, trometamol, water for injections. Usage: Flaner eye drops are a clear, colorless solution without particles and are presented in packs of 20 or 60 vials. Flaner contains 0.3 mg of diclofenac sodium as the active substance in each vial. Diclofenac sodium is one of the groups of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Flaner is used to keep the pupil dilated before eye surgery, to prevent cystoid macular edema (an eye disease caused by the accumulation of fluid and proteins under the retina) before and after eye surgery, and to control pain and/or inflammation after eye surgery or trauma. It is also used to relieve eye pain and sensitivity to light. Do not use Flaner if: • you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the ingredients listed at the beginning of this instruction • asthma, itching or runny nose worsen when using aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (if you are allergic to these medicines) • you are pregnant (do not use Flaner after the 6th month of pregnancy) Take special care when using Flaner if: • you have an eye infection (a disease that causes inflammation). • you have a bleeding disorder. • you are using contact lenses. If these warnings apply to you, even if only in the past, please consult your doctor. Dosage and administration: The recommended dose is 1 drop in the affected eye every 4-6 hours. The frequency of use and duration of treatment depend on your condition. Your doctor will decide the appropriate dose for you. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Route and method of administration: Wash your hands before administration. Instill into the eye as described below. • Tilt your head back; gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket between the eyelid and the eye. • Hold the tip of the single-use vial pointing downwards towards the eye. • Gently squeeze the bottom of the vial to release one drop. • Do not allow the dropper tip to touch your hand or eye. • After application, press your finger to the inner corner of the eye for about 1-2 minutes to prevent the preparation from passing from the tear duct into the nose. Storage: Keep Flaner out of reach of children and in its original packaging. Store at room temperature below 25C. After opening the packs, the vial must be used within 28 days. Vials are for single use, any unused contents should be discarded.
