What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Promethazine+Meglumine Pharmacological Group: H 1 histamine receptor blockers Composition: 1 measuring spoon (5 ml) contains 130 mg meglumine benzoate, 15 mg polysorbate 20, 2.5 mg promethazine hydrochloride, and 3.6 g sucrose. 1 tablespoon (15 ml) contains 390 mg meglumine benzoate, 45 mg polysorbate 20, 7.5 mg promethazine hydrochloride, and 10.8 g sucrose. Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Antihistamines for systemic use, phenothiazine derivatives, (R: respiratory system). Therapeutic Indications: 1. The preparation is recommended for the treatment of non-productive and irritative cough in adults and children from 2 years of age, especially when cough occurs in the evening and at night. 2. Cough syndrome of the upper respiratory tract, so-called "postnasal drip" 3. Post-infectious cough 4. Whooping cough Method of administration of Fluisedal syrup: Adults and children from 2 years of age. Dosage: Adults: 3-4 tablespoons per day. For children, use a 5 ml measuring spoon filled with syrup and follow the doctor's instructions. From 2 to 6 years: 5 ml 3-4 times From 6 to 12 years: 5 ml 4-6 times From 12 to 15 years: 10 ml 3-4 times a day Contraindications: - Infants (up to 2 years of age) due to the risk of bronchial secretion accumulation. - Allergy to any component of the preparation, particularly antihistamines. - Previously detected or ongoing agranulocytosis (sharp decrease in the number of leukocytes in the blood). - Difficulty urinating caused by impaired prostate function or other etiology. - Certain forms of glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure).
