What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - Fluconazolum Dosage Form: 0.3% Eye Drops Description: Colorless, transparent solution. Composition: 1 ml of the preparation contains: Active substance: Fluconazole 3 mg. Excipients: Disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, propylene glycol, benzalkonium chloride, purified water. Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Antifungal agent Indications for Use: Fungal infections of the eye: - Scleritis - Endophthalmitis - Keratitis (keratomycosis) - Canaliculitis and others Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to fluconazole (including other azole compounds). Side Effects: Rarely, eye irritation and redness occur. Method of Administration and Dosage: The preparation is intended for topical use only. Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 4 times a day. The duration of treatment is no more than 3 weeks. Overdose: No cases of overdose have been identified. Warnings: Like other ophthalmic preparations, systemic absorption of the preparation may occur. Use with caution in patients with impaired renal function, and in conditions of reduced immunity (neonatal period, AIDS, etc.). Discontinue the preparation if any signs of allergic reactions appear. Special Instructions: The patient should avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent microbial contamination of the vial contents. Wearing contact lenses is not recommended during treatment with the preparation. After opening the vial, the preparation can be used for one month. If no improvement is observed within 7-10 days of treatment with the preparation, it should be assumed that the disease is caused by a microorganism insensitive to the preparation.
