What is it?
Name - Fortezhin #6 Vag. Suppositories Indications Used for local treatment of specific and non-specific vulvovaginitis, vulvitis, vaginitis, irritated or bacterial cervicovaginitis, candidiasis, trichomonas, Gardnerella vaginitis or/and Giardien, mono- and polymicrobial infections, leukorrhea of any etiology. For the treatment of scars during cervical (exocervix) and vaginal wall biopsy. Dosage and Administration Dosage correction is made according to medical criteria and clinical picture. The recommended dosage is initially 1-2 suppositories per day, then until the end of treatment – 1 suppository per day, used before bedtime. The course of treatment is 6-10 days. The suppository is inserted deeply vaginally. Method of Use Remove the vaginal suppository from the packaging and insert it into the vagina. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor, the standard duration is 6-10 days. Contraindications – Hypersensitivity to some components of the product or imidazole derivatives; – First trimester of pregnancy; – Lactation period; – Patients with blood dyscrasias; – Central nervous system diseases. Precautions The preparation is prescribed with caution in patients with severe liver failure. Its use does not ensure prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. The composition of the vaginal suppository may cause changes in latex condoms or diaphragms; such contraceptives cannot be used during treatment. Warnings Pregnancy and Lactation Although vaginal absorption is negligible, it is not recommended to use this product during the first trimester of pregnancy or during lactation. Special Instructions Avoid washing the vagina with alkaline substances. Since low absorption of the drug is observed with local use, systemic effects cannot be ruled out, therefore, it is not recommended to use alcohol, warfarin, coumarin (potentiation of anticoagulant effect), and disulfiram during treatment.
