Properties

What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - Isoconazole, diflucortolone Clinical-pharmacological group: Antifungal agents → Antifungal preparations for topical use → Azole group Composition: 1g cream contains: Active substances: Isoconazole nitrate 10mg (1%), Diflucortolone valerate 1mg (0.1%) Excipients: Liquid paraffin, Soft yellow paraffin, Polysorbate 60, Cetostearyl alcohol, Disodium edetate, Sorbitan stearate, Deionized water Description Homogeneous, viscous cream Pharmacotherapeutic group Combination of an antifungal agent for topical use (imidazole derivative) and a corticosteroid (Group III). Indications for use Initial or stepwise treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin with concomitant, pronounced inflammatory or eczema-like skin symptoms (e.g., in interdigital spaces of hands and feet, as well as in the groin and genital areas). Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substances of the preparation or any of its other components. Cutaneous tuberculosis, cutaneous manifestations of syphilis, Viral skin lesions (chickenpox, herpes zoster), rosacea, perioral dermatitis, as well as post-vaccination skin reactions in areas to be treated with Fundocortich cream. Method of administration and dosage Fundocortich cream is applied to the affected skin areas 2 times a day. After the resolution of inflammatory or eczematous skin disease symptoms, or within a maximum of 2 weeks from the start of treatment, and before switching to a cream without corticosteroids, treatment with Fundocortich cream should be discontinued. This is particularly important when the preparation is used in the groin and genital areas. Overdose Overdose is unlikely to cause acute intoxication from a single application to the skin (on a large area, which promotes absorption) or accidental ingestion.
