Properties

What is it?

Fungicidal substance: 1 ml spray contains 10 mg terbinafine hydrochloride. Excipients: Contains propylene glycol (1.5 g). Therapeutic indications Fungosil contains the active ingredient terbinafine, which is an antifungal agent used to treat skin problems caused by fungi: • Athlete's foot (tinea pedis) - Athlete's foot occurs only on the feet (usually both, but not always), where it often appears between the toes. It can also appear on the top surface of the foot, the sole, or other areas of the foot. The most common type of athlete's foot causes cracking or peeling of the skin, but can also manifest as mild swelling, blisters, or sores. Fungosil® is recommended for athlete's foot when it occurs between the toes. • If you have a fungal nail infection (fungus inside and under the nail) with changes in nail color and nail texture (thick or scaly), you should consult a doctor, as Fungosil® is not suitable for this type of infection. • Jock itch/groin itch (tinea cruris) - Jock itch appears in the groin and inner thigh area, usually on both sides, but often more on one side than the other, where it can spread between the legs to the buttocks or upwards towards the abdomen. Jock itch looks like a clearly demarcated rash, which may have blisters. Dosage and method of administration: Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Adults: Use once a day, for only one week, for all fungal infections. • Clean and dry the affected skin and surrounding area(s) thoroughly and wash your hands. You can help the treatment by keeping the affected areas clean with regular washing and careful drying with your own clean towels and clothes, and not by rubbing or scratching the skin. • Remove the bottle cap. • If you are using the medication for the first time, press the pump several times until you get an even spray. • The bottle can be held upright or upside down to operate the spray pump. • Spray a sufficient amount of solution from a distance of 5 to 10 cm to thoroughly wet the affected skin. When using between toes, buttocks, or groin, the treated area may be covered with a light, clean gauze strip, especially at night. • Replace the bottle cap. • Wash your hands, otherwise you may spread the infection to other parts of your skin or to others. Even if you do not use Fungosil for a second week, complete healing of the skin after the infection has cleared will continue for up to 4 weeks. If you do not notice any signs of improvement within 2 weeks of starting treatment, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Store Fungosil in its original packaging and out of the reach and sight of children. Store at room temperature below 30C
