What is it?
Gastrobene Dual Action Active substance in 10 ml: Sodium alginate 500 mg, Calcium carbonate 325 mg, Sodium bicarbonate 213 mg; Other ingredients: Carbomer 974P, Methylparahydroxybenzoate, Propylparahydroxybenzoate, Sodium saccharin, Mint flavoring (mixture of menthol and maltodextrin flavorings), Sodium hydroxide, Purified water. This preparation contains sodium alginate, calcium carbonate, and sodium bicarbonate. Sodium alginate forms a protective layer on the surface of stomach contents (raft), which prevents the reflux of contents into the esophagus, thereby protecting it from the irritating effects of hydrochloric acid and gastric juices. Sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate neutralize hydrochloric acid in the stomach. The action of the three active substances relieves pain, burning, and discomfort after eating. Gastrobene is used for the relief and treatment of heartburn, indigestion, reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus after eating, including so-called reflux esophagitis. The preparation can be prescribed to pregnant women with similar complaints. If you do not feel better after 7 days or your condition worsens, you should seek medical help. Recommended dosage: Adults and children aged 12 and over: 10-20 ml after meals, 3-4 times a day, the last dose of the preparation should be taken a few hours before bedtime. The maximum daily dose is 80 ml. Children under 12 years of age: The preparation can only be taken as prescribed by a doctor. Elderly individuals: No dosage changes are required. The preparation is taken orally. The suspension must be thoroughly homogenized before each administration by shaking the bottle vigorously. Keep out of reach of children. Store in the original packaging, at a temperature not exceeding 25 C. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
