What is it?
Composition: GYNO-FAST 1 vaginal capsule contains: Each soft gelatin vaginal capsule contains: GYNO-FAST Clindamycin phosphate, equivalent to 100 mg Clindamycin Clotrimazole 200 mg Capsule filler: Beeswax, Mineral oil. Capsule shell ingredients: Gelatin, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Titanium dioxide, Color "Ponceau 4R", Purified water. Pharmacotherapeutic groups Antiseptic and antimicrobial agents for the treatment of gynecological diseases. Mechanism of action: Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by blocking the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosomal membrane. It has a bacteriostatic effect, but at high doses it exhibits a bactericidal effect. Pharmacological action: It has broad-spectrum antifungal, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal activity. It disrupts ergosterol synthesis and binds to the phospholipids of the fungal cell membrane, thereby disrupting the permeability of the fungal cell membrane, promoting the expulsion of K+ from the cell and the degradation of nucleic acids. Clotrimazole inhibits the activity of peroxidases (including mitochondrial peroxidases), resulting in the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide in the fungal cell, which also leads to the rupture of the fungal cell. Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole (or azole group) and clindamycin. GYNO-FAST is also contraindicated in women with regional enteritis, nonspecific ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis (pseudomembranous colitis).
