What is it?

Name - Grip Stop Tablet #4 Composition Grip Stop Tablet: Each tablet contains Paracetamol USP 500 mg and Caffeine USP 65 mg. Pharmacology Grip Stop is a combination of Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) and Caffeine. It has analgesic and antipyretic properties. The presence of caffeine enhances the analgesic effect of paracetamol. Paracetamol is one of the safest and most widely used analgesics and antipyretics. It produces analgesic action by increasing the pain threshold and antipyretic action by acting on the heat-regulating center of the hypothalamus. Caffeine is an alkaloid, a xanthine derivative similar to theophylline. By forming an intermolecular bond with paracetamol, caffeine increases the solubility and trans-membrane penetration of paracetamol. Furthermore, caffeine increases the pain threshold and pain tolerance. Caffeine also has an intrinsic power to increase vascular tone in the cerebral vasculature, which provides another benefit in the treatment of migraine and headache. Indications Fever, headache, migraine, muscle pain, back pain, toothache, and menstrual pain. Dosage and Administration Adults: 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours. Maximum dose: 8 tablets per day. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, caffeine, or any other component of this product. Side Effects This combination may cause skin rash, neutropenia, and gastrointestinal disturbances, etc. High doses may cause hepatotoxicity. Pregnancy and Lactation Although there is evidence of epidemiological safety of paracetamol use during pregnancy and lactation, medical advice should be sought before using this product. Drug Interactions It increases the action of chloramphenicol and coumarin anticoagulants. In alcoholics or patients taking other antiepileptic drugs, the hepatotoxic risk of paracetamol may be increased.
