What is it?
Composition: Inosine pranobex 250.00mg Excipients: Methylparahydroxybenzoate E218, Propylparahydroxybenzoate E216, Sodium saccharinate, Sucrose, Glycerol E422, Ethanol 96%, Raspberry flavor L-144739 (Components: Sugar, Propylene glycol, Ethanol, Flavoring), Purified water. Description: Transparent liquid with raspberry smell and taste. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Direct-acting antiviral agents. Indications Groprinosin® syrup, 250mg/5ml is used in patients over 2 years of age for the following indications: - Treatment of influenza and other viral infections of the respiratory tract (acute respiratory viral infections); - Herpes infections caused by herpes simplex (Herpes simplex, type I, herpes of the lips, face and mucous membranes; type II, genital herpes and herpes of other localization, as well as herpetic keratitis, i.e., inflammation of the cornea or conjunctiva of the eye, diseases caused by Varicella zoster virus (chickenpox virus and shingles), and infectious mononucleosis caused by Epstein-Barr virus; - Infections caused by human papillomavirus: genital warts (condylomata acuminata) in men and women, papillomas of the larynx/vocal cords (fibrous type); - Severe measles; - Cytomegalovirus infection; - Molluscum contagiosum (circumscribed skin lesions caused by viral infection). For patients over 6 years of age (body weight 20kg), it is preferable to prescribe Groprinosin® tablets. Method of administration and dosage Method of administration For oral use only. The dose of the preparation depends on the patient's weight and the severity of the disease. The daily dose is divided into several parts, which should be taken at equal time intervals throughout the day. Dosage The duration of treatment is usually 5-14 days. The preparation should be taken for 1-2 days after the disappearance of the disease symptoms. Use the enclosed measuring cup for correct dosing. Adults and the elderly The recommended daily dose is 50mg/kg of body weight (1mg/kg of body weight), generally 3g/day (i.e., 60ml of syrup per day); the maximum daily dose is 4g in 3-4 divided doses (usually, 20ml 3-4 times a day, i.e., one 20ml dosing cup 3-4 times a day). 1ml of Groprinosin® contains 50mg of inosine pranobex. The maximum daily dose is 4g. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. - Gout attack. - Increased concentration of uric acid in blood serum. - Urolithiasis. - Arrhythmias. - Chronic renal failure. - Children under 2 years of age. Use during pregnancy and lactation Controlled clinical studies regarding fetal development and fertility have not been conducted. It is not recommended to take Groprinosin® syrup during pregnancy and lactation, as its safety has not been investigated.
