Properties

What is it?

ALLERGOVIS Composition: Helichrysum Italicum liquid extract 1%, Disodium EDTA. Clinical-pharmacological group: Ophthalmic topical agent. Pharmacological properties: ALLERGOVIS is effective for restoring the microenvironment of the ocular mucous surface caused by prolonged exposure to contact lenses, wind, and dust. By stabilizing the tear film, the preparation relieves discomfort caused by allergic processes, soothes, cools, and moisturizes the ocular mucosa. Helichrysum italicum is a perennial plant characteristic of the Mediterranean region. Its extract is rich in plant mucilage, mucilaginous polar glycoproteins, which provide anti-allergic, cooling, soothing, moisturizing, lubricating, and protective properties. The extract relieves symptoms of eye discomfort, both in allergic conjunctivitis and when foreign bodies enter the eye, during prolonged exposure to computers, mobile phones, televisions, or other video terminals. Disodium EDTA belongs to the class of chelating agents and has an antimicrobial effect. Disodium EDTA has the ability to bind calcium and magnesium ions necessary for the formation of cross-links of molecules in the microbial cell membrane.
