What is it?
Hepargitol International Nonproprietary Name - comb. drug Clinical-pharmacological group: Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Laxatives → Osmotic Composition: Package A: Sorbitol 1.8450 g, Citric acid 0.8780 g per sachet Package B: Arginine hydrochloride 0.5000 g, Sorbitol: 1.5700 g, Anhydrous sodium sulfate: 0.0660 g, Sodium hydrogen phosphate: 0.1190 g, per sachet. Other ingredients: Package A: Sucrose, Orange oil, Natural concentrated lemon oil. Package B: Sodium bicarbonate, Sucrose The medicine is presented in a box containing 20 sachets of oral powder. Action and therapeutic indications: Hepargitol is a combined osmotic laxative and digestive aid, recommended for constipation and dyspepsia. Hepargitol retains water in the intestinal lumen, softens stool, is effective for the prevention and dissolution of fecal impactions, restores regular bowel function, promotes painless defecation, improves digestion (choleric effect, activation of pancreatic enzymes), eliminates dyspepsia symptoms (nausea, vomiting, heartburn, pain and heaviness in the epigastric region). Hepargitol does not cause tenesmus, bloating, or rectal irritation. How to take Hepargitol, oral powder with double sachets: Pour the contents of both sachets into half a glass of water and shake. For constipation: Take 1-2 sachets on an empty stomach in the morning. For dyspepsia: Take the medication dissolved in half a glass of water before meals or immediately when symptoms occur. Adults: 2 to 4 sachets per day. Children aged 2 to 5 years: 1 sachet per day. Over 5 years: 1-2 sachets per day. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: This medication can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding if the dosage instructions are followed. Warning: In case of unexplained constipation, constipation accompanied by pain, fever, abdominal bloating, you must consult a doctor. For a salt-free diet, consider the presence of 0.277 g of sodium per sachet, inform your doctor if you have gallstones. In case of colitis, reduce the dose and avoid taking the preparation on an empty stomach. In case of diabetes, consider that each sachet contains 0.500 g of sucrose.
