What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - plantago lanceolatae+malva sylvestris+C Composition: Each 5 ml (1 measuring spoon) of syrup contains: 1.25g liquid aqueous extract of lanceolate plantain leaves (Plantaginis lanceolatae folium extractum aqueous fluidum) 1:5; 1.25g liquid aqueous extract of common mallow flowers (Malvae sylvestris flos extractum aqueous fluidum) 1:5; 65 mg Vitamin C (Acidum ascorbicum). Excipients: Sucrose (4g), Methylparahydroxybenzoate (9.24g), Orange oil flavor. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Expectorant and mucolytic agent of plant origin. Indications for use Plantain syrup Herbion – a medicinal product of plant origin, recommended in the following cases: - Dry cough associated with inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract; - Dry cough in smokers; - Colds and flu accompanied by cough. Method of administration and dosage Adults and children over 14 years of age should take 2-2 measuring spoons of syrup 3-5 times a day. Children under 7 years of age – 1-1 measuring spoon of syrup 3 times a day. Children aged 7 to 14 years – 1-2 measuring spoons of syrup 3 times a day. It is recommended to consume a sufficient amount of warm beverages during syrup treatment. Side effects Possible side effects when taking the syrup are divided into groups according to their frequency of occurrence: - Very common (>1/10); - Common (>1/100 and <1/10) - Uncommon (>1/1000 and <1/100); - Rare (>1/10000 and <1/1000); - Very rare (<1/10000, including isolated reports). Within each group, adverse effects are listed in order of decreasing seriousness. Adverse effects by organ and system: Immune system: Rare: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
