Intra-articular injection of Hiruan improves joint function and mobility; normalizes the synovial fluid in the affected joint. Indications Deforming osteoarthritis of the knee joint, shoulder periarthritis. Method of administration and dosage Hiruan injection is administered directly into the knee or shoulder joint once a week for 5 weeks. The number of injections is determined by the symptoms and severity of the disease. Hiruan injection is administered directly into the joint space (synovial fluid), and therefore, the sterility of the procedure must be strictly observed. Side effects Hypersensitivity: swelling (face, eyelids), facial redness, rarely rash, urticaria, itching. In such cases, it is recommended to discontinue treatment with Hiruan and conduct adequate treatment. Precautions Before starting treatment with Hiruan, it is necessary to eliminate the inflammatory process in the joint, as Hiruan may exacerbate the symptoms of inflammation. In case of fluid retention in the joint, arthrocentesis is recommended. Treatment with Hiruan is discontinued in case of ineffective treatment after the first 5 weeks. Intravenous injection of Hiruan is not allowed. Hiruan is very viscous, so it is preferable to use a 22-23 G needle for injection.
