Special instructions For normal joint function, it is necessary to maintain the metabolism of the synovial membrane and synovial fluid, as well as joint cartilage. Lactic acid is formed in the cartilage (according to the Embden-Meyerhof pathway), which is transferred to the joint capsule through the synovial fluid, where essential energy is released during the oxidation process in the citric acid cycle. In arthrosis, a disorder of metabolism in the connective tissue of the joint is observed (in cartilage, synovial membrane, synovial fluid), characterized by increased breakdown of the connective tissue structure. Thus, an imbalance arises between the catabolic and anabolic processes of metabolism. The goal of therapy is to normalize the disturbed metabolic process. The main reaction that releases energy is the formation of hydrogen, which is transferred from the citric acid cycle to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) as an element at the beginning of the respiratory chain. In joint metabolism, oxidation-reduction reactions between lactic and pyruvic acids are of primary importance, in which NAD acts as a catalyst. Liponic acid also participates in hydrogen transfer, which, in turn, participates in oxidative decarboxylation (conversion of pyruvic acid to acetic acid). In interaction with Coenzyme A, activated acetic acid is formed, which is one of the main activators of the citric acid cycle; oxaloacetate plays the same role. Sulfur has long been used in the therapy of rheumatic diseases, but only scientific research on mucopolysaccharide sulfates has confirmed that the body processes sulfur and converts it into chondroitin sulfate. Organic preparations (Cartilago, Funiculus umbilicalis) are important components for the formation of connective tissue, Placenta activates blood supply, and Embryo has an additional stimulating effect. Plant components (Rhus toxycodendron, Dulcamara, Sanguinaria, Symphytum, Arnica) are used in rheumatic diseases when the condition worsens in damp weather. The pharmacologically active and non-toxic components of Zeel T allow us to consider this preparation as a primary remedy for the treatment of chronic joint diseases, which is confirmed by numerous clinical studies.
