What is it?
Solution for injection. 1 ml of solution contains: Active substance: Ipidacrine hydrochloride (calculated as anhydrous substance) 5 mg or 15 mg. Excipients: 1 M hydrochloric acid solution to pH 2.8-4.0, water for injections up to 1 ml. Description: Clear, colorless liquid. Indications Ipidacrine is used in the form of a solution for injection, as well as in tablet form. Peripheral nervous system lesions: neuropathy, neuritis, polyneuritis, myelopolyradiculoneuritis, myasthenia and myasthenic syndrome; multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases of the nervous system (complex therapy); bulbar paralysis and paresis in organic lesions of the CNS accompanied by motor disorders (recovery period). Functional disorders of the CNS (decreased memory, attention span, motivation, initiative, disorientation, emotional lability, etc.) in senile dementia, Alzheimer's disease, encephalopathy (traumatic, vascular, and other genesis), cerebrovascular accident, traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities in children with cerebral dysfunction. Weakness of labor; intestinal atony. Intoxication with anticholinergic drugs. Administration and dosage Doses and duration of treatment are determined individually depending on the severity of the disease. Contraindications Epilepsy, extrapyramidal disorders with hyperkinesia, stenocardia, bradycardia, bronchial asthma, predisposition to vestibular disorders, peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the exacerbation phase, intestinal or urinary tract obstruction, pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. The use of ipidacrine in children is contraindicated due to the lack of clinical safety studies in this age group. Pregnancy and lactation The preparation enhances uterine tone and can cause premature labor, therefore it is not used during pregnancy. Use during breastfeeding is contraindicated.
