IRDAPIN PLUS contains 150 mg of Irbesartan, 5 mg of Amlodipine, and 12.5 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide. Irbesartan belongs to a group of antihypertensive drugs known as angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Angiotensin II is a substance produced in the body that binds to receptors on blood vessels, causing them to narrow. This increases blood pressure. Irbesartan prevents angiotensin II from binding to these receptors. As a result, blood vessels relax and blood pressure decreases. Amlodipine belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers. Amlodipine prevents calcium from entering the walls of blood vessels and stops blood vessels from constricting, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic drug belonging to the thiazide group. It increases the excretion of urine, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure. IRDAPIN PLUS is used to treat high blood pressure (essential hypertension). Storage Conditions Keep IRDAPIN PLUS out of the reach of children and in its original packaging. Store at room temperature below 25°C, in a dry place, and in the original packaging.
