What is it?
Active Ingredient: Framycetin Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group for topical use in otorhinolaryngology. Composition and Dosage Form: Nasal spray: in a plastic bottle 15 ml, with a sprayer. 1 ml Framycetin sulfate ........... 12.5 mg (8,000 IU) Pharmacological Properties: Framycetin is a bactericidal antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group and is intended for topical use. The achieved concentration of framycetin ensures bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms. Framycetin is characterized by a low level of systemic absorption. It is practically not absorbed from the nasal mucosa and does not exhibit systemic effects. Indications: Topical treatment of rhinosinusitis, rhinopharyngitis, adenoiditis; Treatment and prevention of inflammatory processes in the postoperative period, during endonasal interventions. Dosage Regimen: Adults: one spray in each nostril 4-6 times a day. Children: one spray in each nostril 3 times a day. The duration of the treatment course is an average of 7 days. It is recommended to hold the bottle vertically during spraying. Side Effects: Rarely, allergic skin reactions may develop. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the preparation or to other aminoglycosides. Storage Conditions: Store the preparation at a temperature not exceeding 250C. Shelf Life: 3 years
