What is it?
Calcium-D3 Nicomed Forte Dietary Supplement Composition (one tablet) Calcium carbonate – 1250 mg (elemental calcium 500 mg) Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) – 11 mcg (400 IU) Cholecalciferol concentrate form – 4.40 mg Indications Treatment and prevention of calcium and vitamin D deficiency In complex therapy for osteoporosis treatment, in patients at risk of calcium and vitamin D deficiency Dosage and Administration Adults and elderly: 1 tablet twice daily The tablet can be chewed or dissolved Take with food for better absorption Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active or excipient components of the preparation Severe renal insufficiency (glomerular filtration rate <30 ml/min/1.73 m²) Hypercalcemia or hypercalcemic condition Urolithiasis (nephrolithiasis) Hypervitaminosis D Children under 18 years of age Pregnancy and Lactation Pregnancy: Can be used only in case of calcium and vitamin D deficiency. The daily dose should not exceed 2500 mg of calcium and 4000 IU of vitamin D. Avoid overdose. Vitamin D in therapeutic doses is not teratogenic. Lactation: Can be used, as vitamin D3 and calcium pass into breast milk. This should be considered if the infant is given additional vitamin D.
