What is it?
Composition 1 ampoule contains: Active substance: Meloxicam 15 mg. Pharmacotherapeutic group Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drugs, oxicams. Indication Camelot (Meloxicam) in the form of an injectable solution is indicated for the initial period of treatment and short-term, symptomatic therapy of pain syndrome in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis. Dosage and administration Camelot is prescribed for adult patients. Intramuscular administration of the drug is indicated only during the first 2-3 days of treatment. Subsequently, therapy is continued with oral administration of the drug (tablets). The maximum recommended daily dose is 15 mg. In case of high risk of adverse events, treatment is initiated with 7.5 mg. Contraindications - Peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the active phase; - Severe liver failure; - Severe renal failure (if hemodialysis is not performed); - Children under 15 years of age; - Pregnancy and lactation; - Gastrointestinal bleeding, cerebral hemorrhage, or any other type of bleeding; - Concurrent therapy with anticoagulants. Camelot should not be prescribed to patients with hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any other component of the preparation. There is a possibility of cross-sensitization with acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Also, the administration of the drug is not recommended in patients with symptoms of asthma, nasal polyposis, angioneurotic edema, or urticaria (associated with the intake of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs). Pregnancy and lactation Administration of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated. Use in pediatrics The dosage regimen for intramuscular injections of meloxicam in children and adolescents has not been established. Therefore, Camelot (Meloxicam) can only be prescribed to adult patients. Shelf life and storage conditions Shelf life of the preparation - 3 years. Store at room temperature, not exceeding 25°C, in a place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children!
