What is it?
Composition Each vial (10ml) of Carditon oral solution contains 1g of the active ingredient - Levocarnitine. Indications: - Body mass deficit and growth retardation in children and adolescents up to 16 years of age; - Cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris, post-infarction condition); - Cerebrovascular accident; neurasthenia; traumatic encephalopathy; myopathy; - Intense physical exertion in athletes; - Anorexia, chronic hypoacid gastritis, chronic pancreatitis, liver diseases; - Primary (genetic) and secondary carnitine deficiency, hemodialysis patients with renal insufficiency; - Mild form of thyrotoxicosis, obesity; - Psoriasis, seborrhea, skin forms of scleroderma; - Male infertility (oligospermia, azoospermia); - Systemic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis). Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Precautions Levocarnitine is prescribed with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, as due to improved glucose absorption, hypoglycemia may develop. Therefore, during the administration of the preparation, constant monitoring of blood glucose is necessary, and if necessary, correction of the dose of hypoglycemic drugs and insulin. Effect on driving and operating machinery Levocarnitine does not negatively affect driving and the speed of psychomotor reactions. Pregnancy and lactation The preparation is used during pregnancy and lactation. Dosage and administration: Children up to 2 years of age - 150 mg/kg of body weight; 2-6 years - 100 mg/kg of body weight; 6-12 years - 75 mg/kg of body weight; Children over 12 years of age and adults - daily dose 2-4 g. In hemodialysis patients, oral solution is prescribed at a dose of 2-4 g/day, after the hemodialysis procedure. For angina pectoris and post-infarction condition, Carditon oral solution is prescribed at a dose of 2-6 g/day. In acute myocardial infarction, after the use of the injectable form of Levocarnitine, Carditon oral solution is prescribed at a dose of 2-6 g/day. Before taking Carditon oral solution, the single prescribed dose from the vial can be diluted in water or fruit juice. Shelf life and storage conditions: Store at a temperature up to 25 C, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children!
