What is it?
Composition: Active substance: L-Carnitine Indications: Neonatal asphyxia and birth trauma; neonatal hypotrophy and hypotonia; respiratory distress syndrome in newborns, premature infants on parenteral nutrition; children on hemodialysis; - body weight deficit and growth retardation in children and adolescents up to 16 years of age. - Cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris, post-infarction condition). - Cerebrovascular accident; neurasthenia; traumatic encephalopathy; myopathy - Intensive physical exertion in athletes - Anorexia, chronic hypoacid gastritis, chronic pancreatitis, liver diseases. - Primary (genetic) and secondary carnitine deficiency, patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis. - Mild form of thyrotoxicosis, obesity. - Psoriasis, seborrhea, cutaneous forms of scleroderma. - Male infertility (oligospermia, azoospermia). - Systemic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Dosage and Administration: Administer 30 minutes before meals, must be diluted in liquid (water or fruit juice). Take 30 minutes before meals. The daily dose is determined by age and body weight - Children up to 2 years: 150 mg/kg body weight. - 2 to 6 years: 100 mg/kg body weight. - 6 to 12 years: 75 mg/kg body weight. - Over 12 years and adults: daily dose 2-3 g. - During hemodialysis 2-4 g. - Angina pectoris and post-infarction condition: 2-6 g per day. Treatment with Kartan is started from 1 g per day, the dose of the preparation can be increased up to 3 g per day. During hemodialysis 2 g once (after the procedure).
