What is it?
Composition: 25 ml Active substance: Valerian root with rhizomes 5 g; Inactive substance (excipient): 70 percent ethanol in a quantity sufficient to obtain 25 ml of tincture. Indications: The preparation is used for functional disorders of the central nervous system (increased emotional excitability, irritability, sleep disturbances, etc.), cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonias), and spasms of the digestive tract organs. Dosage and Administration: Take orally. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, it is recommended to take 20-30 drops 3-4 times a day until a stable therapeutic effect is achieved. For children over 12 years old, 1 drop per year of age. Contraindications: The preparation should not be used in patients with depression and other disorders accompanied by central nervous system depression. It is also contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to the components of the preparation. Pregnancy and Lactation: Since the preparation contains ethyl alcohol, it is not recommended for pregnant women, during lactation, and for children under 12 years of age. Interaction with other medicinal products: Valerian tincture enhances the activity of alcohol, cardiac, sedative, hypnotic, analgesic, hypotensive, and antispasmodic agents. Overdose: Prolonged use or overdose of the preparation may lead to the development of pronounced side effects: headache, drowsiness, dizziness, general weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, decreased vision and hearing, increased heart rate. In such cases, it is necessary to discontinue the preparation and seek symptomatic treatment. Driving and operating machinery: Caution is required. Special instructions: Alcoholic and stimulant beverages are not recommended during treatment. Side effects: The preparation is generally well tolerated, however, suppression of emotional reactions, drowsiness, decreased work capacity, allergic reactions (skin redness, itching, rash, etc.) may be observed. Packaging: 25 ml tincture in a dark brown PET bottle. Storage conditions: In a place protected from light and inaccessible to children, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Shelf life: 3 years.
