Properties

What is it?

Composition: Azapentacene Indications for use: - Senile cataract - Congenital cataract - Traumatic cataract - Secondary cataract Dosage and administration: For topical use only. Instill 2 drops of Cataxol into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 3-5 times a day. After instillation, it is recommended to close the eyes and press on the nasolacrimal duct with a finger, which reduces the systemic absorption of the drug. As a result, its side effects are reduced. The drug is intended for long-term therapy. Even in case of rapid improvement of the condition, discontinuation of treatment is not recommended. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Use during pregnancy and lactation: Cataxol eye drops can be used by pregnant women only as prescribed by a doctor and under his strict supervision. Lactation should be discontinued during treatment. Use in pediatrics: Cataxol can be used to treat children as prescribed by a doctor, if the expected therapeutic effect outweighs the risk of developing possible side effects. Interaction with other drugs: No interactions of Cataxol with other drugs have been established. Overdose: There is no data on side effects caused by overdose of the drug. Dosage form: Cataxol 0.015% eye drops, available in a 15 ml plastic dropper bottle with a screw-on protective ring. The bottle is placed in a cardboard box with the instructions for use. Storage conditions: Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25C. Keep out of reach of children! After opening the bottle, the drug can be used for 4 weeks. Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture. The drug must not be used after the expiry date. Dispensing conditions: Pharmaceutical product group II - for use as prescribed by a doctor.
