What is it?
Composition: Each milliliter of solution for injection contains 30mg ketorolac tromethamine. Excipients with known effect: Each milliliter of solution for injection contains 100mg ethanol (96%) and less than 1 mmol (23 mg) sodium. Full list of excipients: Ethanol 96%; sodium chloride; disodium edetate; sodium hydroxide solution 1M; sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid (1M solution for pH adjustment); water for injections. Indications: KETALDINE is indicated for the short-term treatment of moderate to severe acute pain, particularly post-operative pain. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ketorolac or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and to aspirin and other prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors that cause allergic reactions (in patients who have experienced anaphylactic reactions), or allergy to excipients. Ketorolac is contraindicated in patients with a history of bronchial asthma; Ketorolac is contraindicated in patients with complete or partial syndrome of nasal polyps, angioedema, or bronchospasm; Like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ketorolac is contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure, liver failure, and kidney failure. Dosage and administration: With intravenous or intramuscular administration, the analgesic effect begins in about 30 minutes, with maximum analgesic effect developing after 1-2 hours. The average duration of analgesic effect is mainly 4-6 hours. The dose should be determined individually for each patient according to the severity of pain and the patient's response. Dosage: Adults and adolescents over 16 years of age: The recommended initial dose is 10mg ketorolac tromethamine, if necessary, the drug is continued at 10-30mg every 4-6 hours. If necessary, KETALDINE can be administered every 2 hours after surgery. The minimum effective dose is recommended. The maximum daily dose in adults is 90mg ketorolac tromethamine (3 ampoules of KETALDINE), and in the elderly, patients with renal insufficiency, and patients weighing less than 50kg - 60mg ketorolac tromethamine (2 ampoules of KETALDINE).
