What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name (Active Substance): ketoprofen Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Anti-inflammatory agents → Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs → Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for systemic use → Propionic acid derivatives with pronounced analgesic effect Indications • Rheumatoid arthritis (at the initial stage of inflammation, in the absence of pronounced changes in the joints); • Ankylosing spondyloarthritis; • Acute gouty, traumatic, and infectious arthritis; • Osteoarthritis; • Bursitis; • Tendovaginitis; • Radiculitis; • Neuralgia, myalgia; • Phlebitis, periphlebitis, lymphangitis; • Musculoskeletal system and soft tissue injuries (dislocations, bruises, sprains, meniscus injuries). Dosage and Administration For external use in adults and children over 15 years of age. A 3-5 cm strip of gel squeezed from the tube should be applied and evenly distributed in a thin layer over the affected area, gently rubbed into the skin until fully absorbed (more gel can be used depending on the size of the painful area). The preparation is used 1-2 times a day. The duration of the course should not exceed 10 days. To increase the effectiveness of therapy, occlusive dressings can be used. Contraindications • Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or other components of the preparation, salicylates, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; • Erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the exacerbation stage; • Chronic dyspepsia (discomfort and pain in the upper abdomen); • Severe liver and/or kidney dysfunction; • Tendency to bleeding; • History of asthmatic attacks after taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; • Skin diseases: eczema, dermatosis, open and infected wounds; • Age under 15 years; • Pregnancy and breastfeeding period. Pregnancy and Lactation KETO-GEL is contraindicated in pregnant women. In the I and II trimesters of pregnancy, the gel should be used only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the risk of negative effects on the fetus. Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment. Storage Conditions and Expiry Dates Store at a temperature of 15 - 25C, out of reach of children. Shelf life: 2 years.
