What is it?
Active substance: Ketorolac Clinical-pharmacological group: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Indications: Short-term relief of pain of various origins, including: Post-traumatic pain (after sprains, fractures, and soft tissue injuries); Postoperative pain (including after abdominal, gynecological, orthopedic surgeries); Toothache (including after surgical dental interventions); Pain in the postpartum period; Pain syndrome in oncological diseases; Pain syndrome in osteoarthritis; Sciatica. The drug is not used for chronic pain syndrome. Dosage and administration: In adults: Administered orally at 10 mg every 4-6 hours. For severe pain, the dose can be increased to 20 mg 3-4 times a day. The injectable solution is administered intramuscularly in a single dose of 10-30 mg (depending on the severity of the pain syndrome), then 10-30 mg every 4-6 hours. The maximum duration of use of the injectable solution is 2 days. The maximum daily dose of the drug (for any form of the drug) is 90 mg. For patients weighing up to 50 kg, over 65 years of age, and patients with impaired kidney function, the maximum daily dose is 60 mg. Contraindications: * Peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase; * Gastrointestinal bleeding; * Bronchial asthma; * Severe cerebrovascular disorders; * Moderate and severe kidney function impairment, risk of developing kidney failure; * History of blood clotting disorders; * Hemorrhagic diathesis; * Concomitant administration with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; * Pregnancy; * Labor; * Lactation; * Children and adolescents under 16 years of age; * Hypersensitivity to ketorolac and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Pregnancy and lactation: Ketanov can be taken during pregnancy only when the potential benefit to the mother significantly outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. * If Ketanov needs to be taken during lactation, the issue of discontinuing breastfeeding should be decided. Storage conditions: Store the drug in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and out of reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25C.
