Pharmacological properties The preparation exhibits anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and local antibacterial action. The main active ingredient of the preparation - choline salicylate exhibits anti-inflammatory and weak analgesic effects. Cetalkonium chloride enhances the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect of the drug. Bacteriostatics included in the gel base: Methylparahydroxybenzoate and propylparahydroxybenzoate exhibit antibacterial action at the indicated concentrations. After application, the gel remains on the oral mucosa for several minutes. Indications - Infectious-inflammatory processes of the oral mucosa; - Erosions and ulcerative diseases of the oral mucosa; - Gingivitis; - Periodontal diseases. Dosage and administration A small amount of gel is applied to pathologically altered areas with light rubbing for 2 minutes. Use 2-3 times a day. Do not consume food or water for about half an hour after applying the gel. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to salicylates and other components of the preparation. Pregnancy and lactation The use of the preparation during pregnancy is only by doctor's prescription. Salicylic acid derivatives are excreted in breast milk. It is not recommended to use the preparation during breastfeeding. Special instructions A transient burning sensation may occur at the application site, which will quickly pass. It is not recommended to use the preparation in children under 3 years of age. Effect of the preparation on driving and operating mechanical equipment The preparation does not have a direct effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate mechanical equipment. Overdose Theoretically, overdose of the drug is impossible. However, if it occurs, it is necessary to rinse the oral cavity with a large amount of water and, if necessary, induce vomiting. In case of hypersensitivity to salicylates, as well as overdose of the gel or significant absorption of choline salicylate into the body, symptoms of systemic action of salicylates may occur, such as: increased sweating, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, dermatological manifestations (erythema or urticaria).
