What is it?
Cloel 708 mg:100 ml Oral Suspension Clemastine Fendizoate Generic Medicine Contains para-hydroxybenzoates Active Ingredient: Clemastine Fendizoate. 100 ml suspension contains 708 mg Clemastine Fendizoate (equivalent to 400 mg Clemastine Hydrochloride) Excipients: Xanthan gum, Polyoxyethylene stearate, Xylitol, Methyl p-hydroxybenzoate and Propyl p-hydroxybenzoate (may cause allergic reactions (including delayed type reactions)), Banana flavor, Deionized water. What Cloel is and what it is used for: Cloel is a cough suppressant medicinal product containing Clemastine Fendizoate as the active substance. The medicine is used to relieve cough. Consult a doctor if the patient's condition does not improve or worsens after a short period of treatment. Do not take Cloel: - if the patient is allergic to Clemastine Fendizoate or any of the other ingredients of the medicine; - Cloel is generally contraindicated during pregnancy. Warnings and precautions: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Cloel. Other medicines and Cloel: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take any other medicines. Do not take the following medicines with Cloel: - Antihistamines (medicines for allergies); - Sedatives (medicines with a calming effect). Taking Cloel with alcohol: Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of developing unwanted side effects of the medicine. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Do not take Cloel during the first trimester of pregnancy. During the rest of the pregnancy, it can be taken only when strictly indicated and under strict medical supervision. Driving and using machines: Cloel may rarely cause drowsiness, so special attention is required when driving or operating machinery that requires concentration. How to take: Always take this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. - Shake the bottle well before use; - Use the 2-3-5 ml measuring cup provided in the packaging; - Do not exceed the recommended dose. Recommended dose: Adults: 5 ml three times a day Use in children and adolescents: - Children aged 2-4 years: 2 ml twice a day - Children aged 4-7 years: 3 ml twice a day - Children aged 7-15 years: 5 ml twice a day If you take more Cloel than you should: Seek immediate medical attention - consult your doctor or the nearest hospital. In case of overdose, the stomach should be emptied immediately; maintain calm to reduce signs of excessive agitation. If necessary, a benzodiazepine (psychiatric medicine) should be used. If you miss a dose of Cloel: Do not double the dose to make up for a forgotten dose. When to stop taking Cloel: Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure about the use of this medicine. Possible side effects: - Very high doses cause dry mouth and mild drowsiness, which disappear quickly after dose reduction. Follow the instructions in the leaflet to reduce the risk of unwanted side effects. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any side effects. How to store Cloel: - Keep out of reach of children. - Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging, the expiry date refers to the last day of that month. - Do not dispose of medicines in household waste or sewage.
