What is it?
Composition: Each suppository contains Paracetamol 250mg; Grindelia (Grindelia robusta Nutt) (fluid, diluted alcoholic extract (70% v/v) (DER: 4:1) 20mg; Gelsemium (Gelsemium sempervirens (L.)Ait.f) (fluid, diluted alcoholic extract (60% v/v) (DER 10:1) 10mg; Excipients: Propylene glycol, hard fat.Indication: The preparation has antipyretic, analgesic, and antitussive effects. It contains Paracetamol. The preparation is indicated for fever and/or pain, e.g. headache, flu, toothache, and stiffness. This form of the preparation is used only for children with a body weight of 13-20kg. Read the "Dosage" section carefully. Other forms of Paracetamol are available for children with different body weights: consult your doctor or pharmacist.Contraindication: Known allergy to Paracetamol or other ingredients; severe liver disease; recent inflammation of the anus or rectum, or rectal bleeding. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Special warnings: In case of overdose or accidental ingestion of an overdose, consult your doctor immediately. When using suppositories, there is a risk of irritation at the site of application. This occurs more frequently and intensely the longer or more often the preparation is used and the higher the dose.Pregnancy and lactation: This preparation is intended for children. However, when used by a woman of reproductive age, the following should be noted: with normal use, Paracetamol can be taken during pregnancy and lactation. In general, before taking any medication during pregnancy and lactation, consult your doctor.Dosage: The dose of Paracetamol depends on the child's weight; age is given for information only. Accurate dosing requires weighing the patient. Paracetamol is available in various strengths, allowing treatment to be adjusted according to the child's body weight. The recommended daily dose of Paracetamol depends on the child's weight: the dose is approximately 60mg/kg/day divided into 4-6 administrations, or 15mg/kg every 6 hours. Due to the risk of rectal irritation, the use of suppositories should be for the shortest possible period, should not exceed 4 administrations per day, and oral treatment should be switched to as soon as possible. The suppository form should not be used during diarrhea. This form of the preparation is used only in children with a body weight of 13-20kg (approximately 2-7 years). The dose is one 250mg suppository, which can be repeated after 6 hours if necessary, but the use of more than 4 suppositories per day is not allowed.
