What is it?
Kovonia Dry and Irritating Cough Mixture Kovonia Dry and Irritating Cough Mixture contains glycerol, which coats the throat and soothes symptoms of cough and sore throat. Dosage and administration The bottle should be shaken before use. Adults and over 12 years: 2 X 5ml teaspoons as needed. Over 1 year: 1 X 5ml teaspoon as needed. Do not use in infants under one year of age without consulting a doctor. Before taking the preparation Do not take this preparation if you experience the following: Allergy to any of the ingredients. Consult your doctor if you have a history of diabetes. Important warning for diabetic patients This product is not for use in diabetic patients. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for recommendations on alternative treatment. Pregnancy and lactation If the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist for recommendations. Important information about ingredients Each 5ml dose contains 1.7g of sucrose and 0.3g of liquid glucose. This should be taken into account for diabetic patients. If the patient has an intolerance to some sugars, consult a doctor before taking the preparation. The preparation contains a small amount of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100mg per 10ml dose. Possible side effects No side effects have been observed when taking the recommended dose. If any side effects occur, discontinue use of the preparation and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Additional information In case of accidental overdose, seek immediate medical attention. The patient should bring the packaging for demonstration. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Composition Active ingredient in each 5ml: Glycerol 1.36g. Other excipients: Honey, Capsicum tincture (Capsicum essential oil, ethanol), Menthol, Peppermint oil, Anise oil, Citric acid (E330), Caramel (E150), Liquid glucose, Blackcurrant flavour (contains ethanol, propylene glycol), Liquorice liquid extract and purified water. Packaging Kovonia Dry and Irritating Cough Mixture is a brown liquid syrup in a 150ml bottle.
