What is it?
Dosage form: Oral drops. Composition (per 25ml): Valerian tincture - 10ml; Wormwood tincture - 7.5ml; Peppermint tincture - 5ml; Belladonna tincture - 2.5ml. The plants in the preparation contain a complex of biologically active substances: essential oils (main component - menthol, borneol isovalerate), valepotriates, absinthin, anabsinthin, ascorbic acid, organic acids, tannins, flavonoids, triterpene saponins, hyoscyamine, scopolamine. Pharmacological action: "Gastric Drops" is a combined preparation of plant origin. Its effectiveness is based on the components present in the preparation: the alkaloids of belladonna tincture provide analgesic action during gastralgia, valerian and peppermint tinctures provide sedative and antispasmodic action of the preparation. Wormwood tincture reflexively enhances the secretion of digestive tract glands, regulates and improves the digestion process. Indications: Used in complex therapy as an adjunct. Spastic conditions of the digestive tract accompanied by pain, nausea, meteorism. Method of administration and dosage: Take orally 30 minutes before meals. Drops should be diluted in one tablespoon of water. Adults: 5-10 drops 2-3 times a day. Children from 5 years of age: as many drops as the child's age - 1 time a day. Contraindications: • Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation; • Glaucoma; • Renal failure; • Organic heart damage; • Increased gastric juice secretion; • Gastric and duodenal ulcer; • Lactation period (reduces lactation). Side effects: Allergic reactions may occur in rare cases. Effect on ability to drive and operate machinery: Caution is required when driving vehicles and operating machinery, as it affects concentration and reaction time. Use during pregnancy and lactation: The use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is possible as prescribed by a doctor. Overdose: Overdose may cause symptoms of poisoning. Gastric lavage and administration of enterosorbents are indicated. Treatment is symptomatic. Interaction with other medicinal products: - The content of valerian tincture in the preparation may potentiate the action of sedative, hypnotic, analgesic, and antispasmodic agents. - Belladonna alkaloids weaken the action of m-cholimimetic and anticholinesterase agents. Potentiates the arrhythmogenic action of MAO inhibitors, the cholinolytic action of quinidine, as well as the action of cardiac glycosides, clonidine, novocainamide, barbiturates, adrenomimetics, antihistamines, tranquilizers. - Precipitation forms with lead acetate, calcium salts, tannin, lily of the valley tincture. - The effectiveness of the preparation is reduced in smokers, as well as in lovers of hot and spicy food.
