What is it?
Name - L-Carnitine 1g/10ml 10ml #10fl Indications: - Primary and secondary carnitine deficiency in adults and children (including newborns and infants). - Carnitine deficiency in hemodialysis patients with the following conditions: severe and prolonged muscle cramps and/or episodes of hypotension during dialysis; lack of energy significantly worsening quality of life; muscle weakness and/or myopathy; cardiomyopathy; anemia caused by uremia, unresponsive to treatment or requiring high doses of erythropoietin; loss of muscle mass due to malnutrition. Administration: For oral use only. Before use, the solution should be diluted in water or fruit juice. To determine the optimal dose, monitoring of free and acyl carnitine in blood plasma and urine is recommended. The dosage regimen is determined individually and depends on the severity of metabolic disorders, the patient's age, and weight. Typically, the dose is 100-200 mg/kg per day, divided into 2-4 doses. If no improvement in clinical and biochemical parameters is observed, the dose may be increased for a short period. High doses (up to 400 mg/kg per day) may be necessary to compensate for acute metabolic disorders. The duration of administration is determined by the physician based on treatment efficacy. In hemodialysis patients with end-stage chronic renal failure, the oral solution is used at a dose of 1g after each dialysis session. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not freeze the injectable solution.
