What is it?

Crystalvag Instructions Crystalvag is a synbiotic (probiotic + prebiotic) containing microencapsulated viable lacto- and bifidobacteria: Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus crispatus, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium breve, and fructooligosaccharides. Crystalvag normalizes the composition of intestinal and vaginal microflora and is a source of natural balance for intestinal and vaginal microflora. Lactobacilli are considered natural competitors for space and nutrient substrates in the microbiome due to their ability to colonize the intestines and, consequently, passively displace pathogenic bacteria and restore normal microflora balance. Lacto- and bifidobacteria increase the body's non-specific resistance and have an immunomodulatory effect. The normal microflora bacteria that are part of Crystalvag activate parietal digestion in the intestines, participate in the enzymatic breakdown of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and in the metabolic processes of bile acids and cholesterol. Lacto- and bifidobacteria synthesize amino acids, pantothenic acid, vitamin K, and B vitamins, and promote the absorption of iron, calcium, and vitamin D. It blocks the penetration of opportunistic microorganisms from the intestines into the vagina, helps normalize local immunity of the intestinal and vaginal mucosa, and increases its resistance to pathogenic and opportunistic microflora. Lactobacilli, which are part of Crystalvag, break down carbohydrates in the vagina and produce lactic acid. An acidic environment is one of the main factors for the normal state and functioning of the organ. The acidity of vaginal contents is determined by the presence of lactic, acetic, and low-molecular-weight fatty acids, which are formed from epithelial cell carbohydrates. Bacteria of the Lactobacillus genus ferment carbohydrates into aliphatic fatty acids and ensure their normal level is maintained. Normal vaginal pH is in the acidic range of 3.7-4.5. In an acidic environment, lactobacilli actively compete with other microorganisms for the ability to adhere to vaginal epithelial cells, have a stimulating effect on the immune system, and on the production of secretory immunoglobulin (sIgA), lysozyme, complement, and other factors of local immunity. Vaginal pH levels can increase with age, under the influence of ovarian steroid hormones, during the menstrual cycle, and during pregnancy. Changes can also occur under the influence of other factors: body mass index, cervical and vaginal diseases, level of sexual activity, intake of hormonal contraceptives, presence of infectious processes in the body; systemic diseases, systemic or local antibacterial therapy, violation of personal hygiene, etc. under the influence of exogenous and endogenous factors, including temperature and oxygen. The synbiotic Crystalvag contains probiotic cultures, each cell of which is protected by a lipid matrix using microencapsulation technology. This method increases the gastroresistance of microorganisms, which thus enter the intestines viable and exhibit their beneficial properties. Activity in physiological sites of existence, as normal microflora (intestines, vagina), providing a source of natural balance for intestinal and vaginal microflora. Microencapsulation technology can significantly protect microorganisms and maintain strain viability under the most challenging conditions of use. 100% of microorganisms in microcapsules reach the intestines, compared to 20% of conventional microorganisms that are not coated. The high efficiency of the microencapsulated form in intestinal colonization was demonstrated in a clinical study using the same strains in coated and uncoated forms. The results showed that colonization is achieved at the same time with different amounts of probiotic used in both formulations (2 billion CFU/day microencapsulated probiotic versus 10 billion CFU/day uncoated probiotic cells). Description of Crystalvag Components: Lactobacillus rhamnosus (L. rhamnosus) - belongs to the normal obligate flora of the female vulva and vagina; along with other types of lactobacilli (including L. acidophilus, L. fermentum), it is present in normal female flora and provides a protective function. L. rhamnosus has antagonistic activity against a wide spectrum of pathogenic and opportunistic bacteria (including Staphylococcus spp., Proteus spp., enteropathogenic Escherichia coli), yeast-like fungi of the Candida genus (due to the secretion of antifungal substances, inhibition of adhesion to vaginal epithelial cells, inhibition of growth and reproduction), improves local metabolic processes, and promotes the restoration of natural local immunity. Lactobacillus acidophilus (L. acidophilus) are bacteria that are part of the normal microflora of the large intestine. Acidophilus bacteria normalize digestion, reduce excessive gas formation, and eliminate unpleasant odors; they play an important role in the synthesis of B vitamins and vitamin K. L. acidophilus aids in the digestion of dairy products by breaking down lactose. In women, it is part of the protective vaginal microflora, which helps maintain an acidic environment unsuitable for the survival of fungi and pathogenic microorganisms. Lactobacillus fermentum (L. fermentum) has antagonistic activity against pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, creating favorable conditions for the development of beneficial intestinal microflora (which manifest and become active against the background of prolonged intestinal dysfunction). The indicated properties of L. fermentum are associated with the accumulation of lactic acid, a strong antiseptic. This type of bacteria has the ability to reduce blood cholesterol levels by incorporating cholesterol into its cell membrane, thus exhibiting an antiatherogenic effect. Bifidobacterium breve (B. breve) in Crystalvag inhibits the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms in the intestines, which helps restore the balance of normal intestinal microflora and eliminate dysbiosis; it affects the regulation of digestion, activation of gastrointestinal motility, utilization of food substrates, and activation of parietal digestion; synthesis of amino acids and proteins, vitamin K, pantothenic acid, B vitamins, neuropeptides, nitric oxide, antioxidants, hormones. In the vaginal biotope, bifidobacteria were found in approximately 10% of those studied. They also inhibit the breakdown of secretory immunoglobulin (sIgA), stimulate interferon production, and lysozyme synthesis. Fructooligosaccharides are fibers formed as a result of fermentation. They are not absorbed but are rapidly fermented by the microflora of the large intestine, releasing low-molecular-weight fatty acids known as volatile fatty acids. Through fermentation, fructooligosaccharides become a direct source of nutrition for the epithelial cells of the large intestine. Fructo-oligosaccharides are a nutrient substrate for the growth and reproduction of lacto- and bifidobacteria, which are beneficial to the body. Additionally, they have a prokinetic effect (stimulate intestinal motility). Fructooligosaccharides increase the absorption of calcium and magnesium, help normalize lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, and reduce blood cholesterol and glucose concentrations. Recommendations for Use: Crystalvag is recommended as a source of lacto- and bifidobacteria for the normalization of intestinal and vaginal microflora: - to improve digestion; - to increase immunity and general body resistance; - to improve the quality of life for irritable bowel syndrome; - for the prevention of dysbiosis and antibiotic-associated diarrhea during and after antibiotic or antiseptic therapy of local and/or systemic action; - to prevent the risk of vaginal microflora disruption when prescribing hormonal and other types of therapy; - women during pregnancy and breastfeeding; - women in pre- and postmenopause to prevent the risk of vaginal microflora disruption due to changes in sex hormone levels; - women with manifestations of vaginitis of various etiologies (candidal, bacterial, trichomonas) and vaginosis to restore the vaginal microbiome; - to increase the number of lactic acid bacteria in the vagina to restore the natural acidic environment of vaginal secretions; - women with vaginal dysbiosis during pregnancy to improve quality of life. For the prevention of vaginal dysbiosis in women: - use of systemic, especially oral or vaginal (local) contraceptives; - vaginal cleansing before local gynecological interventions; - use of tampons, insufficient personal hygiene. Instructions for Use and Recommended Daily Dosage: Adults and children over 12 years of age take 1-2 capsules per day, preferably without food, for 14-20 days or as recommended by a doctor. If a child or other person cannot swallow the whole capsule, it can be opened, the contents mixed with a small amount of drinking water, and taken. Due to microencapsulation, the activity of probiotics is not lost. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually. If necessary, the course can be repeated one month after the completion of the first course of treatment. If the doctor also prescribes antibacterial therapy, the interval between taking Crystalvag and the antibiotic should be at least 1-2 hours.
