It is important to pay attention if the child has not had a bowel movement for 2-3 days. Defecation is an individual process that depends on age, diet, psycho-emotional state, and social factors. In almost 95% of cases, constipation in children is a functional process (caused by stress, diet, and other factors). What can cause constipation: Improper diet, insufficient fluid and fiber intake (excessive consumption of sweets); change in diet in newborns (transition from natural feeding to solid food, or cow's milk); insufficient physical activity; psychological factors (family stress); lack of sleep, fear of defecation; fluid loss; use of certain medications. Symptoms: Painful defecation; feeling of fullness in the abdomen or pelvic area; bothersome pain in the lower abdomen; bloating; urinary incontinence; headache and insomnia during prolonged periods without defecation; fever (in severe cases). How does Lax Forte work? Increases water retention in the intestines; stimulates intestinal peristalsis; softens stool; promotes defecation. Indication and mechanism of action: Lax Forte is designed for newborns from 2 weeks of age. To relieve temporary constipation. Main mechanism: The dissolved suppository draws water into the stool, helping to hydrate it, thereby increasing stool mass. This reacts to the pressure of the stool, as well as the walls of the rectum, and promotes the evacuation of stool from the intestines. The suppository acts locally in the small intestine. The oily lipophilic extract in the suppository softens the stool and stimulates intestinal peristalsis, acting as a lubricant (facilitates stool expulsion). Olive oil, as a component of the suppository, facilitates its sliding into the small intestine and softens the retained stool mass. The suppository acts quickly and effectively within 15-30 minutes. Contraindications: Prolonged use may cause an allergic reaction; in this case, the medication should be discontinued and the treating physician should be consulted. Do not use this medication if the child has confirmed lactose intolerance or hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. How to use Lax Forte Baby: Always use the suppository exactly as indicated in the instructions, or as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. Lax Forte baby suppositories are for rectal use only! It is recommended to wash hands before and after use. If you want the suppository to act quickly and be easy to insert, moisten it under running water.
