What is it?
Lax 7.5 mg/ml Oral Drops 1 ml solution (20 drops) contains 7.5 mg of sodium picosulfate as the active substance. Other ingredients: sorbitol, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water. Lax is used for the short-term treatment of constipation in adults and children, and, if necessary, to facilitate defecation, for example, before certain intestinal examinations. If you do not feel better or your condition worsens after 4-5 days of starting this medicine, you should seek medical attention. Recommended dosage: Adults, elderly and children aged 10 years and over 14-27 drops once daily. The starting dose is 14 drops, which can be increased to 27 drops. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 27 drops. Children aged 4 to 10 years 7-14 drops once daily. The starting dose is 7 drops, which can be increased to 14 drops. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 14 drops. Children under 4 years of age 1 drop per 2 kg of body weight. Sodium picosulfate in children can only be prescribed by a doctor. How to use It is recommended to take the given medicine once a day before bedtime to induce defecation the next morning. The effect develops 6-12 hours after administration. To facilitate intake, the drops can be added to a glass of water. Taking the medicine daily is not desirable. If you do not feel better or your condition worsens after 4-5 days of starting the medicine, you should consult your doctor. Storage conditions: Keep out of reach of children.
