What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - comb. drug Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Intestinal Microflora Regulators Composition One capsule of the preparation contains not less than 5X109 viable lyophilized bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium lactis Excipients: Fructooligosaccharides, Rice Maltodextrin, Magnesium Stearate. Mechanism of Action The lactic acid bacteria included in the preparation help maintain and restore the physiological balance of normal intestinal flora. Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli produce lactic acid and acetic acid, thereby creating unfavorable conditions for the multiplication and vital activity of pathogenic microbes; they participate in the digestion process and vitamin synthesis (B, K…), regulate electrolyte balance; metabolism of proteins, phospholipids, bile and fatty acids, bilirubin, cholesterol. Fructooligosaccharides - natural polysaccharides are prebiotics - a favorable environment for the multiplication, colonization, and vital activity of eubiotics - intestinal bacteria. Fructooligosaccharides are not broken down by digestive acids and reach the lower parts of the intestine unchanged. Indications - Prevention and treatment of intestinal microflora imbalance - dysbacteriosis (irritable bowel syndrome); - Dysbacteriosis in children and adults (including during treatment with antibiotics and chemotherapy); - Diarrhea, flatulence, constipation; - Colitis, gastroenterocolitis (acute and chronic). Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Precautions It is not recommended to take the preparation simultaneously with alcohol. Effect on driving and operating machinery The preparation does not affect concentration ability and driving or operating machinery. Overdose No data on Lacto-G Forte overdose is available. Pregnancy and lactation The use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is considered safe. Interaction with other drugs No adverse effects of Lacto-G Forte with other preparations have been described. Dosage and Administration For children under 2 years of age, the contents of 1 capsule dissolved in a small amount of juice or sweetened liquid are administered before meals. For children aged 2-12 years, 1-2 capsules are administered daily with a small amount of liquid before meals. For individuals over 12 years of age and adults, 2-3 capsules are administered on an empty stomach or before meals with a small amount of liquid. The duration of treatment depends on the causes of dysbacteriosis and individual characteristics of the organism. Side Effects The preparation is well tolerated; no side effects have been observed when taking the preparation at the recommended dose. Shelf life and storage conditions The shelf life of the preparation is 2 years. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children!
