What is it?
Name - Lasix Indications: Arterial hypertension, edema, pulmonary edema, ascites, for forced diuresis. Dosage regimen: The dosage of the drug is selected individually. For adults, the initial dose is 20-80 mg. If necessary, the dose can be increased by 20-40 mg after 6-8 hours. This dosage is used 1-2 times a day. For children, the initial dose is 2 mg/kg of body weight. In case of ineffectiveness, the dose is increased by 1-2 mg/kg after 6-8 hours from the first administration. For arterial hypertension, the initial dose for adults is 80 mg per day. For pulmonary edema, 40 mg is administered intravenously. Side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, depression, tremor, memory impairment and coordination disorder, vomiting, nausea, pancreatitis, impotence, hypercholesterolemia, ventricular arrhythmia. Contraindications: - Acute glomerulonephritis - End-stage renal failure - Hepatic coma - Hypokalemia, hyponatremia, alkalosis - Hypersensitivity to the drug. During pregnancy, Lasix is recommended only for specific indications and for a short period. Since it is excreted in breast milk and also suppresses lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued when using the drug in this case. Storage conditions and shelf life: The drug should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
