What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name (Active Substance): comb. drug Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Biologically Active Supplements Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Intestinal Gas-Reducing Preparations Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Agents Affecting Gastrointestinal Tone and Motility Composition: Cortex Frangulae - 150 mg Radix Rhei - 125 mg Folium Sennae - 120 mg Aloe juice concentrate - 50 mg Finocchio plv - 50 mg Magnesium sulphate - 100 mg Pharmacological Group: Laxative, choleretic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, intestinal peristalsis stimulant. Indications: - Constipation, intestinal atony and chronic constipation; - Spastic colitis, intestinal colic; - Meteorism; - Gentle bowel evacuation – in the postoperative period for anal fissures, hemorrhoids, and rectal surgery; - Cholangitis, cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia; - Gastrointestinal cleansing during diagnostic procedures. Before X-ray examination, as well as after abdominal surgery. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the preparation. Intestinal obstruction and stenosis, inflammatory diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), appendicitis. Abdominal pain of unknown etiology. Side Effects: With prolonged (more than 2 weeks) and high-dose use for a laxative effect, it may cause suppression of large intestine peristalsis due to irritation of the mucous membrane; electrolyte imbalance. Dosage and Administration: Likunorm is taken orally by adults: 1 tablet 2-3 times a day before meals. The preparation can be used during pregnancy (II-III trimester), lactation, and in children from 8 years of age on doctor's recommendation. Interactions with Other Medicinal Products: Prolonged use may lead to potassium depletion in the body and potentiation of the action of cardiac glycosides and antiarrhythmic drugs. When combined with thiazide diuretics, licorice preparations, and corticosteroids, the risk of developing potassium deficiency increases.
