What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - amylmetacresol, dichlorobenzyl alcohol Clinical-pharmacological group: Antiseptic agents → Antiseptic agents for topical use Composition One tablet contains active substances: 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol – 1.2 mg. Amylmetacresol – 0.6 mg. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antiseptic agent. Pharmacological action The preparation has an antiseptic effect, is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, and has antimycotic action. Indications for use Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (relieves pain and soothes throat irritation). The preparation can be used in patients with diabetes mellitus (does not contain sugar). Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation: sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption. Pediatric age (up to 6 years). Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before using the preparation. Dosage and administration Topically. Adults and children over 6 years of age should slowly dissolve one tablet every 2-3 hours. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours, the duration of the course of therapy is 3 days. Side effects Allergic reactions. Overdose Unlikely, possible overdose may cause symptoms of discomfort in the gastrointestinal tract. Treatment is symptomatic. Interaction with other drugs Clinically significant interactions with other drugs have not been identified. Special instructions It is not recommended to use the preparation in case of increased individual sensitivity to any component of the preparation. The preparation contains isomaltase and maltitol syrup, which can have a mild laxative effect. It is not recommended to use the preparation in patients with hereditary fructose intolerance. If symptoms persist, or if body temperature rises or headache occurs, consult a doctor.
