Active ingredient: 1 effervescent tablet contains: light magnesium oxide 403.0 – 435.2 mg (corresponding to 243 mg magnesium) Excipients: anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, malic acid, mannitol, rice starch, lemon flavor E 143, sodium cyclamate, sodium chloride, saccharin sodium salt, simethicone 1 effervescent tablet equals 0.01 bread units. Dosage form. Effervescent tablet. Main physical-chemical properties. Round, white, flat-cylindrical tablet with a smooth surface without damage, with the inscription «Biolectra» embossed on one side. Treatment and prevention of magnesium deficiency in the body in cases of impaired muscle function (neuromuscular diseases, cramps), chronic physical and mental fatigue, excitement, myalgia, intensive physical and mental exertion, and during pregnancy. Used in hypomagnesemia caused by prolonged smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, prolonged use of laxatives, contraceptives, some diuretics, or in patients with diabetes mellitus with persistent hyperglycemia due to osmotic diuresis. Contraindications. Intolerance to the active substance or other components. In case of renal insufficiency or impaired cardiac conduction (AV - atrioventricular block) which may cause bradycardia, the administration of Biolectra Magnesium Forte is not recommended. Contraindications for mineral and electrolyte metabolism (hypermagnesemia, hyperkalemia) should also be checked. Biolectra Magnesium Forte is contraindicated in severe myasthenia gravis, exsiccosis, and calcium-magnesium-phosphate diathesis. Interactions with other medicines. Concomitant administration with ferrous fluoride, sodium fluoride, or tetracycline may lead to impaired absorption of iron, sodium fluoride, tetracycline, and magnesium. In such cases, a 3-4 hour interval should be observed between the administration of Biolectra Magnesium Forte and iron preparations, sodium fluoride, or tetracycline. Concomitant administration with aluminum-containing preparations (e.g., antacids) may enhance aluminum absorption. Incompatibility. No information. Precautions. 1 effervescent tablet contains 7.35 mmol (169 mg) of sodium. Individuals on a sodium-restricted diet (low sodium/table salt content) should take this into account. 1 effervescent tablet contains 3.48 mmol (136 mg) of potassium. This should be taken into account by patients with impaired liver function and also by patients on a low-potassium diet. Pregnancy and lactation. There is no risk associated with the administration of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation. Driving and operating machinery. No effect. Dosage regimen and method of administration. The dose of Biolectra Magnesium Forte depends on the level of magnesium deficiency. The average daily dose is 1-2 effervescent tablets (243-486 mg magnesium = 10-20 mmol). The following recommended doses apply to Biolectra Magnesium Forte: Children from 6 years of age: 1 effervescent tablet once a day. Adolescents and adults: 1 effervescent tablet 1-2 times a day. In case of severe magnesium deficiency, a relatively higher dose may be prescribed under medical supervision. Dissolve 1 effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink the resulting solution. The duration of treatment depends on the level of magnesium deficiency. Prolonged high-dose treatment should be carried out under medical supervision. Side effects.
