What is it?
Macropreg is a laxative that, due to its hydrophilic nature, softens stool, regulates intestinal peristalsis, and facilitates defecation without side effects. It is not absorbed, does not undergo fermentation, and does not irritate the mucous membrane. It is excreted with stool and does not cause habituation. Indications: The preparation is used for chronic functional constipation and irregular defecation. Composition: Each jar contains 100g Macrogol 3350. Excipients: Silicon dioxide, flavoring, sodium saccharin. Dosage: From 6 months to 2 years (12kg) 0.8 g/kg From 2 to 12 years (12-20kg) 1 g/kg 12 years and older (20kg and >) 10-30 g of preparation per day It can be prescribed from 5kg body weight. The dose should be selected according to the child's weight and the severity of constipation. The measuring spoon has markings (0.5 - 1 - 2 g) which allow for dose adjustment. A full spoon (2 g) is dissolved in 1:4 parts water. The prepared solution, the daily dose, can be divided into several intakes. The prepared solution is stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours. Duration of treatment: Treatment lasting more than 2 weeks should be carried out under the doctor's supervision. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to Macrogol 3350 and other components of the preparation Intestinal obstruction, stenosis Intestinal perforation Inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) There is no experience with its use during pregnancy and lactation. Dose adjustment is not required in patients with renal insufficiency. Side effects: Generally well tolerated without side effects. In rare cases, allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances - bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, mild diarrhea may occur. Do not take a double dose. Interaction with other medications: It has no incompatibility with other medications, but it is desirable to take other medications (including homeopathy) with a 2-hour interval. Storage conditions: Store in a dry place inaccessible to children, protected from direct sunlight, at room temperature. Recommendation: The suspension should be prepared before taking the preparation. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The expiration date is indicated on the box.
