International Nonproprietary Name - Agnus castus+Caulophyllum thalictroides Dosage Form: Homeopathic tablets Composition: 1 tablet contains: Agnus castus (Chaste tree) D1 162mg Caulophyllum thalictroides (Pocoon root) D4 81mg Cyclamen (Alpine violet) D4 81mg Ignatia (St. Ignatius' bean) D6 81mg Iris (Orris root) D2 162mg Lilium tigrinum (Tiger lily) D3 81mg Other ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, starch, magnesium stearate Description: Round, flat-cylindrical tablets, straw-colored, possibly with light brown speckles. Indications: Symptomatic treatment in complex therapy for: Premenstrual syndrome (mastodynia, feeling of tension in the mammary glands, swelling, headache/migraine, mood swings) Fibrocystic mastopathy Menstrual cycle disorders and/or infertility caused by corpus luteum insufficiency. Dosage regimen: Take one tablet 2 times a day (morning and evening) with a small amount of water. Mastodynon should be taken for at least 3 months, including during menstruation. The therapeutic effect usually appears within 6 weeks. If complaints reappear after completing treatment, treatment should be continued and a doctor should be consulted. Due to good tolerability, the preparation is suitable for long-term therapy. Side effects: Allergic reactions may occur. In rare cases, stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, slight increase in body weight, exanthema, acne, and headache have been reported. When taking preparations containing "Agnus castus", temporary psychomotor agitation, confusion, and hallucinations may occur in rare cases. Interactions with other medicinal products: The efficacy of the preparation may be reduced when used in combination with dopamine antagonists. Special warnings: Smoking and alcohol consumption negatively affect the effectiveness of homeopathic medicinal products. Mastodynon tablets are not used for the treatment of malignant breast diseases. In case of prolonged, unclear, and recurrent complaints, a doctor should be consulted, as it may be a condition requiring necessary medical supervision. Treatment with homeopathic preparations does not exclude the use of other medicinal products.
