What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Neomycin+Prednisolone+Sulfacetamide Meocil eye ointment has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action. It is prescribed for infectious and inflammatory eye conditions. Instructions for use of Meocil Meocil should be used according to the doctor's recommendation. If you have questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The dosage of Meocil should be determined individually by the doctor. However, the average recommended dose is to apply a small portion of Meocil into the conjunctival sac (the space between the eye and the eyelid) 2-3 times a day. When using the eye ointment for the first time, do not use the first portion. If you use more Meocil than recommended: If necessary, rinse your eye with running water to remove any residual amount of eye ointment. If you forget to take a dose of Meocil: Use only one dose as soon as you remember and follow the regular dosing schedule recommended by your doctor. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you stop taking Meocil: If treatment is stopped prematurely, there is a risk of infection recurrence or worsening. Do not stop treatment without consulting your doctor. If you have additional questions regarding the use of this product, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Possible side effects Like other medicines, Meocil may have side effects, although not everyone gets them. Hypersensitivity to Meocil's active or any of its excipients may develop. If you experience any side effects or side effects not listed in the leaflet, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Storage conditions for Meocil - Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. - Keep the tube tightly closed in the original packaging to protect from light and moisture. - The tube should be used within 28 days after the first opening. - Keep out of reach of children. - Do not use Meocil after the expiry date indicated on the box, which is indicated after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. - Do not dispose of medicines in household waste or sewage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of them.
