Folic Acid Food Supplement Each tablet contains: Folic Acid 400 mcg. Methylfolate is the biologically active form of folic acid, which no longer requires metabolism in the liver. It is rapidly and fully absorbed by the body, unlike folic acid, whose conversion to its active form and absorption is often complicated. Other ingredients: Bulking agent, isomalt (E953), cellulose (E460), stabilizer, polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (E1202), polyvinylpyrrolidone (E1201), anti-caking agent, magnesium salts of fatty acids (E470b), excipient: Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana). Dosage and administration: 1 tablet once a day. Metifol is recommended for use from 11 years of age. Daily intake dose: Folic acid (Methylfolate) - 400µg (1 tablet); 200 (DRVs*) *DRVs: Dietary Reference Values. Indications for use: • Treatment and prevention of anemias during pregnancy and lactation; • Prevention of neural tube defects in the fetus during the first trimester of pregnancy; • Preeclampsia; • Prevention of postpartum depression; • Treatment and prevention of folic acid deficiency caused by unbalanced nutrition; • Treatment and prevention of anemias caused by folic acid deficiency; • Breast and colon cancer; • Long-term treatment with folic acid antagonists (trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole combination) and anticonvulsants (phenytoin, primidone, phenobarbital). Storage conditions: Store in a dry place, protected from light, out of reach of children, at a temperature below 25°C. Warnings: • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. • Food supplements cannot replace a normal diet. • Consult your doctor before taking Metifol during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or when using other medications.
