What is it?
International Name - pancreatine Pharmacological Group: Preparations containing digestive enzymes Description: Coated tablets 3500 IU: 20 pcs 1 tablet contains pancreatine with minimum enzymatic activity: Lipase 3 500 IU Eur. Pharm; Amylase 4 200 IU Eur. Pharm; Protease 250 IU Eur. Pharm. Pharmacological Properties: Used to compensate for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency; facilitates complete absorption of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins in the small intestine. Indications: Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency; chronic inflammatory-dystrophic diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder; post-resection or post-irradiation conditions of the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, accompanied by digestive disorders, meteorism, diarrhea. For improving digestion in patients with normal gastrointestinal tract function in case of improper nutrition; preparation for X-ray and ultrasound examination of abdominal organs. Dosage and Administration: Adults: 1-2 tablets before meals, without chewing, with water; children: the preparation can be taken as prescribed by a doctor. Duration of treatment from several days to several months or up to a year. Side Effects: Allergic reactions; development of hyperuricosuria; increased uric acid levels in blood plasma. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, acute pancreatitis, exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis. Drug Interactions: Reduced absorption of iron preparations when used together with pancreatine and iron preparations; concomitant use with antacids may reduce the effectiveness of pancreatine. Storage Conditions: In a dry, light-protected place, inaccessible to children, shelf life - 3 years.
