What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - montelukast, desloratadine Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Allergology → Histamine H1 Receptor Blockers Allergology → Leukotriene Receptor Antagonists Active Substance: Desloratadine 5 mg, Montelukast 10 mg (as 10.4 mg of montelukast sodium) Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Combination of histamine H1-receptor blockers and leukotriene receptor antagonists Indications: Relief and treatment of symptoms of allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma Dosage and Administration: Tablets are taken orally, with water, independently of food intake. Recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older: 1 tablet per day (desloratadine 5 mg, montelukast 10 mg). The preparation can be used for intermittent allergic rhinitis (i.e., when symptoms are present less than 4 days a week or less than 4 weeks per year). If symptoms disappear, treatment can be discontinued, and upon their appearance, the preparation can be taken again. For patients with persistent allergic rhinitis (i.e., when symptoms are present 4 days a week or more, or more than 4 weeks per year) upon exposure to allergens, long-term use of the preparation is recommended. The therapeutic effect of the preparation in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma develops within the first day. It is recommended to use the preparation in case of contact with allergens. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the components.
