What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - naproxen sodium Clinical-pharmacological group: Anti-inflammatory drugs → Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs → Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for external use Composition 1 g of gel contains: Active substance: Naproxen (in the form of naproxen sodium) 100 mg. Excipients: Hydroxyethylcellulose, propylene glycol, ethanol 96%, methylparahydroxybenzoate, "Rose" flavoring, purified water. Pharmacotherapeutic group Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for external use. Indications for use Naprofi gel is used topically as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent: - For diseases of the musculoskeletal system; - For osteoarthritis. Method of administration and dosage Apply a layer of gel to the skin according to the size of the affected area (usually 4 cm), spread over the affected area and rub gently until completely absorbed. The preparation is used 4-5 times a day, at intervals of several hours. Wash hands after using the preparation. The preparation should not be used for more than several weeks (usually 4 weeks). If pain and swelling persist or the condition worsens after 1 week of treatment, it is necessary to consult a doctor. In case of skin redness and irritation, treatment should be discontinued. If symptoms persist, seek immediate medical attention. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs; - Dermatitis, skin damage or open wounds; - Pregnancy; - Lactation; - Children under 3 years of age. Use during pregnancy and lactation Naprofi gel is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation. Use in pediatrics The preparation is contraindicated in children under 3 years of age. Interaction with other drugs Interactions with other drugs have not been established. Interactions cannot be ruled out only with prolonged use over a large area of skin.
