Trade Name: Sodium Chloride Dosage Form: 0.9% Infusion Solution Composition: 100 ml solution contains: Sodium Chloride 0.9g Description: Saline colorless transparent liquid Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Regulator of the body's water-salt balance Indications Dehydration resulting from vomiting, diarrhea, shock of various etiologies, for maintaining plasma volume in diabetic coma, burns, during and after surgery, in acute circulatory disorders with dehydration, intoxication, and also as a diluent for other drugs. Dosage and Administration The preparation is administered intravenously, most often by drip infusion. Dosage is individual and depends on the deficit of water and electrolytes. Contraindications The preparation is not administered in hypernatremia, circulatory disorders with cerebral and pulmonary edema, during high-dose corticosteroid therapy. Large volumes of the solution should be administered with caution in patients with impaired renal excretory function. Administration of large amounts of the solution can cause hyperchloremic acidosis, hyperhydration, increased potassium excretion from the body. Special Instructions During prolonged use of the preparation, monitoring of plasma electrolytes and water balance is necessary. Caution is required in hypokalemia. With the use of large doses of sodium chloride, a disturbance of salt molecular concentration and colloidal dispersion may develop. Storage Conditions Store the preparation at room temperature, protected from light and children.
