Clinical features Indications - Stroke, acute phase of cerebrovascular accident, treatment of complications and consequences of cerebrovascular accidents. - Craniocerebral trauma and its neurological consequences. - Cognitive and behavioral disorders caused by chronic vascular and degenerative cerebral disorders. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to citicoline or other components of the preparation. - Increased tone of the parasympathetic nervous system. Method of administration and dosage Recommended dose For adults, it is 500 to 2000 mg per day, depending on the severity of symptoms. The preparation is prescribed for intramuscular or intravenous administration. The preparation can be administered intravenously by slow injection (over 3-5 minutes, depending on the dose to be administered) or by drip (rate: 40-60 drops per minute). Maximum daily dose - 2000 mg. The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease and is determined by the doctor. Dose adjustment is not required in elderly patients. The solution for injection is intended for single use only. The preparation should be used immediately after opening the ampoule. Residues of the preparation must be disposed of. The preparation can be mixed with all isotonic solutions for intravenous administration, as well as with hypertonic glucose solution. If necessary, treatment should be continued in the form of an oral solution. Children. Experience with the use of the preparation in children is limited. Overdose No cases of overdose have been reported.
